The experience
Kevin has a depth of practical knowledge and experience in Supply Chain and Logistics stemming from his early career. Following his MSc at Cranfield, he broadened his scope into Supply Chain Management and management consultancy. He built the Logistics practice within PriceWaterhouse to a team of 40+ consultants undertaking both technical and commercial advisory roles as well as business development.
Kevin's career has covered many industries and sectors in a wide range of geography. He has developed and led major change projects including business turnaround; infrastructure development and capital investment including major warehouse design and project management. Latterly and in accordance with client demand, he has successfully undertaken many cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects where he has undertaken responsibility from the initial opportunity search through to the delivery of results.
Kevin has earned "expert status." He is a regular conference speaker and writer on the subject where he has a reputation for challenging the status quo and for sometimes controversial views. He has successfully implemented change in some very testing environments, and is equally comfortable working in the boardroom and amongst operators in the field. His mantra of "Supply Chain Strategy with real results" embraces his comprehensive understanding of both strategy and practical operations alike.
The expertise
Kevin is a hands-on business advisor who can demonstrate an ability to "get new ideas over the line," and influence client and peer group thinking. His leadership role in both client assignments and in business management has successfully delivered change. To illustrate that point, he undertook a business case analysis on behalf of a FTSE 100 client working in the field service sector, where he presented the case for change. The capital request was approved and Kevin led the implementation team and held commercial responsibility through to completion. Thereafter he provided post implementation support service, which included the various change management aspects for the workforce operating in a new environment.
The personality
Kevin enjoys many interests outside work that enable some relaxation but with a competitive streak and also a creative side. He is a keen runner and cyclist, and a passionate competitor on the race tracks around the UK in historic motorsport. His engineering background underpins a love of classic cars. At home, Kevin undertakes "advanced DIY" projects, which provides a rewarding and relaxing break from management consultancy. He has two teenage daughters and he keenly supports their ballet and equestrian interests.
