Jonathan Strong

The experience. Jonathan’s career encompasses virtually the entire sphere of business related real estate activities. The recent part of Jonathan’s career has seen him become a serial managing director, successfully transforming three real estate organisations in just over a decade. For three years he was also Chairman of the Strategy and Resources Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and implemented the current agenda for change programme. Prior to Corpra he was with CB Hillier Parker where he was responsible for UK-wide professional services and was a Senior Executive Director of what is now the world’s largest surveying practice. He was also Managing Director of BAA Lynton plc, Managing Director of Higgs & Hill Developments, and Director of Speyhawk.

The expertise. Jonathan has earned his stripes the hard way, learning the best techniques by crafting strategy and developing capability. He was a member of BAA’s Group Property Board which led The Property Challenge project – creating a customer service ethos within the organisation. Jonathan’s own excellent interpersonal skills put him in a strong position to lead and develop teams, and create partnerships between staff, colleagues, consultants, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders; all essential in delivering strategic business objectives.

The personality. Jonathan is a true gentleman player, as likely to be found in the bar of the clubhouse and out on the range or on the tennis court. Nowadays, he claims 'anno domini' is beginning to inhibit his physical fitness, but his zest for the social side is unabated. After his family, his greatest love is sailing, and he regularly braves Spaghetti Junction to spend a weekend off the coast of Anglesey. He is also a passionate gardener, and is currently in the middle of a project to transform his four-acre garden into a woodland paradise.
